Artwork and story from Michael, Watercolor Academy student
It is very easy to study at Watercolor Academy because I know precisely what and how to do. Even more, every artwork I do is assessed by the tutors and they tell me what to improve and how.
I have always wanted to be an artist, so I decided to take up drawing. After a while, I started painting, first in oil, then tried watercolor and that was it - I realised what I want to do - become a watercolor artist.
I love studying painting and drawing and should have majored in art, but that was something my family did not approve of. That was not a decision I took lightly. I reserved to self-learning, yet my progress was very slow. Reading books on painting and watching YouTube videos did very little for me. This was before I found the Drawing Academy online course.
After enrolling in the drawing course, I immediately recognised the potential of support that academy tutors gave me. They answered my questions, which I had plenty of, gave me feedback on my drawings and paintings, and I received so needed advice. Every time I had a question, they were there to help.
When I mentioned that my main interest is in watercolor, tutors asked if I want to test a brand new course - Watercolor Academy by Correspondence. Needless to say, I jumped on this opportunity immediately. This was exactly what I needed - having someone to show how to paint in watercolor the right way. I have to say that what I am getting in this program goes far beyond I imagined at the beginning. Not only my teachers, Vladimir London and Natalie Richy, show me how to paint, but I get much, much more.
To begin with, my art skills were assessed. I did a series of artworks and received a very comprehensive report on my art skills. Every mistake was pointed out and special topics were proposed to fill the gaps in my art education. Tutors designed a special curriculum for me; and now I'm getting numerous tasks according to this curriculum. Every task that I receive comes with detailed instructions, videos and illustrations. It is very easy to study at Watercolor Academy because I know precisely what and how to do. Even more, every artwork I do is assessed by the tutors and they tell me what to improve and how.
The level of dedication of my tutors doesn't know limits. Sometimes, when I'm not so smart to get the lesson from the first take, they explain again and again how to do it. I have not met more kind and patient people before.
Thank you, Vladimir and Natalie for being so kind to me! I was very lucky to get you as my art teachers! I can't thank enough you for all your hard work.
I know I have a long way to go to become a professional artist, but with your help, I have no doubts in my success.
