Here's what William says about the Watercolor Academy course

My name is William Chan. I am retired after working as a mechanical engineering in the aviation industry. After retirement, at first I wanted to pick up piano playing but had to discontinue when my piano teacher passed away after three years. My wife saw a notice of a watercolor class offered by a local artist from our church and signed me up. I have no formal training in watercolor painting or arts, but I have always fascinated myself be able to paint one day, not necessary as a professional but as a hobbyist. I bought books on watercolor and tried to learn some basic techniques and skills to accelerate my progress. However, I found it is not that easy in my attempts in color mixing to obtain the right tonal, shade, light and dark contrast for my paintings. When I saw the course offer from the Watercolor Academy I decided to give it a try.

I enjoyed the detailed color theory video lessons very much; I have gone back over them several times. These lessons gave me in depth understanding of color mixing. I will definitely apply what I've learned in my future paintings. Watercolor Academy is a great art course for artists of all levels and I would highly recommend it to other artists.

For five years in my painting journey, I had painted still life, animals, portraits, cityscape and landscape. I joined a local art association as a member and exhibited my paintings in several of their venues. Here are two of my recent watercolor paintings.
