Great Learning Experience

Watercolor Academy

Watercolor Academy review by Maria, Watercolor Academy Correspondence Course student

Hello,

I just want to share a few words about how my experience with the Watercolor Academy is going so far.

A few months ago I decided to learn to paint in watercolor. My ability to draw or paint can be summarized as: I'm able to hold a pencil or a brush comfortably (that's all). During the first months I tried to self-learn and, as I wasn't making much progress, I decided to enroll in some course hoping to get the fundamentals in a structured way. I tried two different courses. I felt that the information was, either delivered by people that seemed to have self-learned themselves, or was poorly explained (if any explanation beyond 'watch me' was included).

I wasn't going to give up. After searching the Internet, I found the Watercolor Academy course. I was attracted by its syllabus and the stress on learning the classical approach to painting and drawing. To me that is the path to mastery. The course seems to include all the topics needed to understand how a painting is done. Each lesson comes with a very clear and intense content: it's not enough to go over it just once; each time you watch it, something new sinks in. And it all starts from the very beginning.

Great Learning Experience - Watercolor Academy review by Maria, Watercolor Academy Correspondence Course student

Initially, I enrolled in the online course; I've upgraded to the Correspondence Course soon after. In my case, I know that having personalized guidance is going to make a difference. Also to avoid my lack of drawing skills, setting a limit to what I can paint, I've enrolled in the Drawing Academy. For one reason or another, both courses help me gain knowledge and make progress, at my own pace. It all depends on the time I can spend and the work I put in it. I'm really glad to say that actually I can paint, I can draw (but I don't yet know how to do it).

I am very pleased with the great learning experience that I'm having at Drawing Academy and Watercolor Academy. Both these courses deliver very high standards of art education.

If you are serious about improving your drawing and watercolor painting skills, I'm sure these art courses will be tremendously helpful to you!

Thank you very much

Kind regards
Maria
