More Contrast and Color - Watercolor Academy review by Maryam

Before I won the Watercolor Academy membership last year, I was struggling with how I can implement the color theory using a transparent medium. Despite all my effort to learn from online classes and workbooks, I have been feeling that I don't have enough knowledge and guidance to reach the result I was aiming for.

Now, after finishing the course, I'd like to say that enrolling in the Watercolor Academy is worth it. For me, it was not only the things I struggled with but I also have been introduced to new watercolor techniques which I never find anywhere else like alla prima and wet/ dry on moist.

I can't say that I master these techniques yet since it needs a lot of practice and work to be expert at. However, I have enough instructions to guide me through my learning journey. Currently, my artworks have more contrast and color due to the more understanding of the color theory and I'm more confident with the medium and have more clarity about how to use it.

I highly recommend the Watercolor Academy for beginner / intermediate art students, the lessons are designed to take you step by step from the medium basics, and color theory and teach you different techniques and how to use them to achieve various art styles.
