I am an Australian artist of senior years. I was a pilot for over fifty years and I have a passion for the sky, clouds and for everything and every creature that flies. My interest in watercolour was triggered by the English traditionalists and by the simple beauty of Japanese ukiyo-e prints.

I am told that my work has a very oriental appearance.

Most recently, I have been more adventurous with various techniques and mixed media. I continue to practise life drawing to improve my observation and drawing skills and to enjoy the sheer beauty of the female form.

I don't try to explain my art. I let it speak for itself. I can talk about my inspiration which I have mentioned and my technique which encompasses traditional watercolour techniques - wet and dry and I use many types of brush, rags and papers. I am currently experimenting wth watercolour combined with paper collage.
