My name is Dr. Zoltán Dobány. I live in Hungary. I am a 71-year-old retired teacher.

I have a degree in art education, but I have never taught art. I have a PhD in earth sciences.

I started drawing and painting a few years ago. My mentor was the painter János Horváth. I attended creative camps. I participated in group and solo exhibitions. (Netherlands, Romania, Hungary)

The arts are fundamental to my life. Music, painting, and photography are the most important to me. They fundamentally define my thinking, my emotions, and my view of the world. In my pictures (paintings and photos), I want to capture beauty. Harmony.

My view of the world is fundamentally nature-centric. I only paint with watercolors. I love their spontaneity, the way the colors blend into each other, the airiness of the image.

I love vivid colors. My vision is now only 30%. I am forced to use vivid colors. I want to continue learning until the end of my life. Learning helps me accept old age. I feel that I am still capable of developing if I receive help.
