A long path to meet myself

My name is Romy Strippoli (my art name is Suomii).

When I was a child, I knew I wanted to make Art for living. By growing, I was not so confident in myself and so I followed my parents' suggestions, studying Foreing Languages. I have been surrounded by beautiful designs, working with African Fabrics for years. I trained my eyes to the colors nuances and shapes during the last decade. But I still wanted to create some marvelous designs on my own. I searched different media and finally I met Watercolor. Since April, I started painting in Watercolor, and that has changed my life because it helped me to reconnect to myself. I met very generous teachers and I devoted countless hours to improve. My main challenge is the fear of not being enough good, enough creative to live as an artist. I am still at the beginning of my Art journey, trying to steal the secrets of this magic medium from the best teachers!

When I discovered the Watercolor Academy, I liked the classic approach to this medium (living in Italy I am surrounded by Classic Art) That's why I am trying to win this competition and I hope you will support my journey by voting me!
