Colours at the end - Watercolor artworks and story by Diana Salinas

My watercolour journey began in 2019, as you can see I'm a child in this field yet, in that year I was going through difficulties in my life because of my dad's illness, sadly he passed away a year later. However, as part of a distraction, I took up a new activity, which is excellent for developing your artistic skills as well as a fantastic help to personal growth, journaling, so I set up my Bullet Journal inspired by many excellent YouTube videos, those cover pages that I've watched during that time made me decide to give watercolours a try.

Although I was highly enthusiastic, my first experience with watercolours wasn't good because I lacked knowledge about watercolour paper, brushes, how to control water and the paintings themself. Months later, I came across a class about colour theory there I learnt about pigments, paper quality and thickness what is more, how to create new colours from a limited pallet was taught in that class too.

Those lessons have made me enjoy even more the painting process that I had started. Suddenly, sometime later I've seen myself painting some animalistic paintings, which are shown on this website as part of the competition, I felt in love with watercolour since then.

Finding this activity extremely rewarding I'd love to learn more about it and when Watercolour Academy was founded by accident one day on YouTube, I got impressed by the techniques professor London is sharing and that painting is the best I've ever seen.

Being part of Watercolor Academy will be a great chance to keep growing u in this area of my life. Therefore, I can imagine myself painting amazing portrays such as the Venice Mascarade, wow I'd be delighted.

I know choosing the best candidate to win this competition might be challenging because so much talent has been shown. Nevertheless, if I had the opportunity to be part of Watercolour Academy I would feel it as a gift from you which will be highly appreciated and well used by myself.

Thank you for reading my story fully, my name is Diana Salinas and received a warm hug from Bolivia.
