Story and artwork from Sarah J. Nasir
My name is Sarah J. Nasir. I am from Streamwood, IL.
The title of my watercolor painting is "My sunny side" It is a watercolor on paper, 9x12.
I have always been keen on working in a creative environment, and doing projects here in the USA and abroad. All my life I have worked one way or the other in different creative settings, mainly advertising agencies and educational institutions.
Having the privilege of traveling and living in multiple countries allowed me to combine the art of the East and the West in my Art forms.
I am a freelance artist and Instructor by profession and have been working on going for 35 years.
My versatility in Arts and Crafts allow me to work artistically with museums, studios, private clients, advertising agencies, along with teaching both adults and children in Institutions, libraries, colleges, schools and private settings.
I do work in various mediums including, acrylics, oils, watercolors, clay, pencils, pastels, ink and pen.My interest is mainly in realistic arts, specializing in portraits in pencils, oils, watercolors and acrylics. I also do enjoy impressionism and texture along with 2D visual paintings, which is a combination of sculpture and painting on canvases.
I am interested in learning various techniques in watercolors from all over the world and feel that the Watercolor Academy can help me further excel in watercolor applications.when it come to watercolors there is just so much to learn.
If I win this course, I might incorporate the watercolor style and technique that I learn from this academy in other mediums.
I think if people vote for me I can give back to all the Art lovers whatever, and however I learn from this academy by uploading my videos and images of my own techniques that I will incorporate from your academy to my style and spread the love of Art all around the world.
I believe art techniques are meant to be shared, It should be accessible to rich and poor alike.
