Watercolor and story by Joanne Brunelle
Hi My name is Joanne Brunelle.
I mostly self-taught and some classes and workshops in the past in watercolor and other things like drawing and paintings.
This picture I made for my neice and the reason for this painting that I wanted it to related to her family history Boothsby. I thought it would be so cool to paint in watercolor. The person in the painting was used the manniquin with the picture of my niece's face, the rest of the painting in the background was from imagination. A cute touch of the pink rifle (her favorite color).
I am 60 years old and deaf. I used different art stuffs ( oil, acrylic, drawings, and more) but the watercolor is my challenge medium because I love how the watercolor works. I've learned about watercolor from books and videos. Sometimes I felt intimidated to paint.
When I saw Watercolor Academy online and I was interested and more I think about it I want to be their student to learn more about lot of techniques in watercolor. The challenge that I want to learn is figurines and portraits.
I am hoping to win the competition to get in the Watercolor Academy.
Thank you,Joanne
