I want to learn watercolor

I am Nicoleta Nicolaescu, retired, and living in Romania.

I have never painted until a year and a half ago, but during my professional life, having a very stressful job, in the most difficult moments I said to myself, "when I retire, I will start painting".

And here I am, at 61 years old, painting every day, waking up in the morning with joy at the thought of the subject I am going to paint that day. What's more, from October I will be a student again, at the art faculty in my home town. I'm so eager to get started!

I think Watercolor Academy is the ideal place to learn to paint, to find your own style that represents you and I think I should win this competition to prove that it's never too late to start following your dreams, and in art, more than anywhere, it's never too late.

I think people should vote for me because, especially at my age, I understand that in the course of life we are forced by circumstances to give up many of the dreams we have because of time, stressful life, family obligations or money, and when finally the ideal meets the passion, you have to follow your path.

That's what I've learned, and I want to pass it on to everyone, never give up, just like the zebra in my painting, who is lonely but strong and never gives up.
