I am a 96 year old resident of Seventy-Five State Street a senior living facility located in Portland Maine. I have a graduate degree in art education and have taught students at all levels.

As an art educator, I needed to be knowledgeable and able to teach everything. As a result I never excelled at any one art form. I have however used my ability to teach the residents here at 75, basic pencil drawing techniques. Many, had never had any previous art education or believed they had no talent. The results have been impressive with many wishing to expand their art experiences.

If I were to win the Watercolor Academy competition, it would give me another art form to offer my students along with basic watercolor techniques to apply.
