Of all the mediums that are at disposal today I prefer and love watercolor. It is like no other medium. It allows you freedom of expression like no other medium does.

I started painting just before I went into retirement, some 20 years ago. Lately I am mainly sketching in my sketchbook or works on paper, using watercolor because in this way I practice, but the painting does not take much space. My storage space is already full, hence a sketchbook i.e. paper.

I think that Watercolor Academy has some distinguished tutors and as I would like to improve my painting and learn something new I would be very glad if people would vote for me.

For this competition I have chosen a painting of my grandson Jake, who is now 10 months old and is the joy of my heart.
