Resilient Pelican

I am a Florida resident who loves photographing and painting (oils) the water birds in my local area. When I had to spend the winter in PA in order to be able to care for and arrange home hospice services for my WWII veteran, 101 year old father, I was unable to paint with oils for several reasons. I decided to try watercolors, and have been trying to learn from online lessons.
I began painting just 8 years ago when I retired and the art "takes me away". I am now in treatment for breast cancer (prognosis very positive) and still heading to PA as often as I can for weeks at a time… and learning watercolor "on my own" during all this.
Watercolor Academy seems like one of the best organizations to help me improve… I'd appreciate votes because winning would help me further my art while dealing with all the other things that tug at me. Pelicans are resilient, determined birds – I want to be resilient too, and am very determined!
