I am Deborah Battle. I am a senior citizen and veteran that is loved to draw. I started drawing when I was in elementary school. I took two art classes in high school. I was in class with at least one student that had far more drawing skills than me. I decided not to take the third class because I didn't feel that I could draw better than Tommie.
I stopped working in 2004 due to my service connected disabilities. I did earn a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies, Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling, and Doctor of Ministry. All was done online. I did start drawing again in 2003. After the last degree was completed, then I began drawing more. I have thought about art school, but I got forgiveness for all of my student loans. I have not have the money to make an effort to enroll. I mostly do drawings with pencil, color pencils, and markers. There are a few wood burning projects. I tried to paint, but I was not happy with the results.
I would love to win a lifetime membership to the Watercolor Academy. Thank you for considering my artwork in this competition.
