What has always driven me is creation. I'm fascinated by the idea of making something from nothing.
I've always sought out ways to create, and I even found it in the most unexpected place—software development.
While most people see it as purely analytical, for me it has always been a creative space—building applications, small pieces of creation that we can use in our everyday lives. This was my form of creative expression for more than 10 years.
Then, one day, out of nowhere, I found a small traveler's watercolor kit in a shop. What a perfect coincidence—it just so happened that we were planning a forest trip soon. And really, what better place to test my new discovery than in the heart of nature?
My first painting looked like it had been made by a five-year-old with a broken hand, yet I was hooked. From that moment, I was lost in the art of manual creation.
At first, I shyly explored the world of art, but I stayed open and tried almost everything: watercolors, gouache, acrylic paints, colored pencils, and I could go on and on. My subjects were just as varied: animals, nature, flowers, and my favorite—portraits. Portraits of the human body in different shapes, sizes, postures, and anatomical details.
Capturing people, their physical appearance along with their character, moods, and uniqueness, in a realistic manner with a touch of fantasy soon became my passion.
Finding Watercolor Academy's materials on YouTube was inevitable. They provided the essentials I needed for realistic painting.
Now, it's time to move forward—building a solid foundation in drawing and receiving priceless feedback from professionals. The Drawing Academy Course is the perfect start. Winning this course would give me the skills to capture the uniqueness of the world—so others can truly see the wonder of the world we live in.
