I want to become an illustrator

I have been drawing and painting for some time. I started late into the art game, senior year in high school, when I was fortunate enough to have an instructor, who showed me that anyone can learn to draw and paint. Now all these years later I still feel that I have so much to learn.

I grew up in a family that encouraged my various hobbies, but none of whom were artists so it was difficult. I wanted to draw and paint, but no one knew what to do with me since no one was an artist, they did their best, but unfortunately that gave me a late start. Still, it did not stop me and when. I followed my passion and my interest and now years later I am making my way towards becoming a professional.

I did work as a graphic designer, but found it unfulfilling. I'm glad I did, because now I'm doing my best to sharpen my skills in hopes of becoming a professional freelance illustrator.
