I have always loved the quiet beauty of nature, especially those summer days when the air feels warm, the sky is full of moving clouds, and every tree, path, and reflection seems alive with light. My submitted watercolor painting, Summer Light by the River, was inspired by such a moment. I wanted to capture not only the view itself, but also the feeling of standing near the water, looking across the landscape and sensing the calm rhythm of the countryside.

Art has always been an important part of my life. Even when I am busy with daily responsibilities, painting gives me a place of peace and concentration. Watercolor especially attracts me because it is both delicate and unpredictable. A single wash can create a beautiful sky, but it can also become muddy if handled without enough knowledge. This is what makes watercolor so fascinating to me: it looks effortless when done well, yet it requires discipline, timing, and a deep understanding of water, pigment, paper, and light.

My biggest challenge is learning how to control watercolor without losing its freshness. In this landscape, I tried to keep the atmosphere soft and natural, while also giving structure to the trees, riverbank, distant hills, and small bright highlights on the water. I enjoyed painting the variety of greens and the reflections, but I know I still need to improve my color mixing, tonal values, composition, and the ability to suggest detail without overworking the painting.

I would love to win the Watercolor Academy course because I want to study watercolor in a more serious and structured way. I admire Watercolor Academy for teaching traditional watercolor techniques, not just quick effects. The idea of learning from professional artists, receiving guidance, and improving step by step is very inspiring to me.

People should vote for me because I am truly committed to growing as an artist. I do not want to paint only occasional pretty pictures, I want to understand watercolor deeply and learn how to express light, atmosphere, and emotion with confidence.
