Hello,
My name is Anaclara, and I am originally from Uruguay. My artistic journey began in the digital world, where I worked as a User Experience and Interface Designer. Through design, I developed a deep sensitivity to color , how hues interact, create harmony, and communicate emotion beyond words. Over time, I felt the need for a more tactile and intuitive form of expression. That is when I discovered watercolor.
Inspired by Impressionism and its attention to light, movement, and atmosphere, I shifted from precision and control toward spontaneity and presence. Watercolor allows me to capture impressions rather than exact details, and emotion rather than perfection.
Art holds my most intimate moments and silences. It is the space where I can disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with myself. When I paint, I feel free. It is both meditation and expression. Through loose gestures, transparent layers, and expressive color, I aim to create luminous floral paintings that transmit calm, light, and feeling. For me, the process is just as meaningful as the final result — each painting becomes a dialogue between intention and surrender.
One of my biggest challenges has been finding my own style. It took years of exploration, doubt, and experimentation to feel aligned with my artistic voice. This year, I can finally say I have found it , but the journey was long and necessary. Another challenge is continuing to evolve technically while remaining authentic. I want to grow without losing the essence of my work.
I want to deepen my knowledge of watercolor techniques and better understand how to create perspective, depth, and stronger composition in my paintings. I am eager to refine my technical foundation while expanding my expressive abilities.
I see Watercolor Academy as a place of serious artistic education and strong classical foundations. I admire its structured teaching approach and its commitment to helping artists truly understand the medium, not just use it. It represents discipline, excellence, and growth.
Winning this course would be a transformative opportunity for me. It would allow me to strengthen my technical skills, gain professional guidance, and elevate my work to a new level. I am ready to invest deeply in my artistic development, and this course would provide the structure and mentorship I am looking for.
People should vote for me because I paint with sincerity and emotion. My work is not only about flowers, it is about light, calm, and connection. Through watercolor, I surrender to color and light, letting emotion guide the brush. I am fully committed to my artistic path, and this opportunity would help me continue growing and sharing beauty with others.
I want to win this Competition and I need your help!
