I see the Watercolor Academy as a great growth tool for artists worldwide, a fantastic initiative led by great teachers. I want to win this contest to qualify as a watercolorist and be able to teach this wonderful technique to my future students.

I want to go through the videos of the Watercolor Academy course and learn everything that I can. I know that I need to go through the fundamentals in order to get to applying them. I also know that I have trouble with shading and perspective is something that does not always come readily to me. I think that this course will help push me on the path to sharpen my skills and become more professional in my work. I'm a self taught artist. I need to start from the very beginning of drawing for it all to come into place. Being self taught, I gravitate to draw images that I like only, in doing this I'm not developing proper skills needed. I would sketch and draw subject matter that would give me strength to survive and keep my mind off things.I would love to learn how to draw and paint like the old masters!
